School Of Literature

One of the founding departments of VET Institute of Arts and Science, Erode in 2019, the school of Literature, embodies a vision of evolving into a leading centre of learning and forms the cornerstone of the institution. The school represents a dynamic community of learners, researchers and members of faculty who are motivated to contribute to on-going dialogues in their various areas of study. The school aims at creating a knowledge community with strong human values, discerning social awareness and excellent communicative competence. It strives to impart an appreciation of the finer aspects of life through a clear understanding of the nuances of language and the aesthetics of literature in a globalised world. The members of faculty in the school of English also organise Functional English classes for the fast mushrooming integrated courses in various other allied disciplines. This is done with diligence and commitment to foster efficiency and skill in the use of the language.
