Attendance Requirements
A student shall be allowed to appear for the End Semester Examinations (ESE) only if
- they put in at least 75% of attendance
- they show satisfactory progress in studies, in all the tests and examinations conducted by the college during the semester and has secured the minimum required marks in them
- their conduct in the college during the semester had been satisfactory
Evaluation System
Students are evaluated by the Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) system and the End Semester Examinations conducted at the end of each semester. Marks for the CIA is computed based on the marks secured by the student, in CIA I and II, model examinations and assignments, following the norms stipulated by Bharathiar University. The total marks scored in Continuous Internal Assessment and End Semester Examination put together gives the marks scored by a student in that semester.
Passing Minimum
The minimum mark required to pass is 40% in the End Semester Examination and 40% in the aggregate of CIA + ESE.
Arrangements for PWD Candidates
Students who are differently abled or has any other medical problems shall be provided with a scribe for the examination only subject to prior permission from the institution.
Examination Hall Etiquette & Requisites
- The identity card issued by the institution has to be presented before entering the hall
- If, a student forgets their identity card, they shall submit a letter stating reasons and get it signed by the invigilator/ HoD / CoE to enter the hall
- Students shall be present outside the hall at least 15 minutes prior the commencement of the examination; coming late shall be entertained
- Students shall not be permitted to undertake ESE when they arrive late by more than 30 minutes from the commencement of the examination
- Students shall not be permitted to exit the hall before the final bell
- Students shall bring their own stationary for the examination and exchange of any sort is not permitted
- Arithmetic calculators with more than one line display or with alphanumeric display are not permitted
- Students shall be fully responsible for the safe keeping of their belongings on the day of examination; the institution shall not bear responsibility for any loss or damage
- Students are to take up the examination only in the answer booklet issued by the institution and shall refrain from writing their name / examination no. on the insides of the same
- Breaks for visits to the lounge or restrooms are not permitted during examinations. If a students feel unwell, they shall inform the same to the hall invigilator who shall take up further suitable and necessary measures.
- The decision requiring a student’s immediate removal or misconduct in the examination hall shall rest with the concerned invigilator / HoD / CoE. The final decision concerning the matter shall be made by the Principal.
