About NIRF

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), introduced by the Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India on September 29, 2015, establishes a comprehensive methodology for ranking academic institutions nationwide. This framework, developed based on recommendations from a core committee appointed by the ministry, evaluates institutions across several key parameters:

• Teaching, Learning, and Resources
• Research and Professional Practices
• Graduation Outcomes
• Outreach and Inclusivity
• Perception

By assessing these criteria, NIRF aims to provide a clear and transparent ranking of institutions to enhance the overall quality of education in India.
