Our college have four different streams under the school of commerce namely B.Com, B.Com (Computer Applications), Professional Accounting., and B.Com Accounting and Finance. The College is surrounded by various industries of different natures and the neighboring districts like Namakkal, Salem, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Nilgiris and Karur are familiar for industries like textiles, engineering manufacturing, steel, transport and plenty other distinct agro based industries. The economic contributions of these districts are significant and noticeable in the economy of the state and country. A vibrant social science research of different dimensions helps to identify the practical problems encountered by these industries in the fields of Production, Marketing, Human Resource, Finance and other areas of the society towards Business and Community through ethical practices with specialized knowledge on modern banking concept and techniques.

The Research explores more on this particular area, finding the problem at micro level and offers appropriate suggestions for their betterment. On par with that, the research department of commerce helps to familiarize the students towards the problem identification, Research Methodology, Research Designs and Analysis of Data. The program is designed to integrate field experience and academic study through rigorous coursework and research.

This inspires the need of elaborate social science research which may provide solution for the problems faced by these industries and the society. The connection between society and research plays a predominant role in promoting the environment and society adjoin with. Hence the commerce department has unlimited desire in fostering the nterest and nurturing the talents of researchers by incubating dynamic research models to cater to the needs of the society which is dynamic in nature.
