Also known as the Knowledge Resource Centre, the general library and the digital library function alongside under the care of the librarian in a built-up area of 5878 sq. ft. with ample reading space and private reading cabins under air conditioned roofs. Of 2021, the library has close to 5000 books, 65 periodicals and 9 daily newspapers in hard and over a thousand digital resources that are offered through Inflibnet N-List, DELNET, NDLI and Swayam. The library also hosts a book banking facility for needy students and awards students for the exemplary utilisation of resources. Members of the faculties and students shall also benefit through the Open Access System at use in the library.
Etiquette
- All members of the faculties and students of the college are members of the library
- All members shall to scan their ID card at the entrance of the library and once again scan their ID card at the time of leaving the library
- ID card is a must for all transactions. Books shall not be issued to a holder with another person’s ID card
- No personal belongings are permitted inside the library except for a pencil and a paper
- Library books should be handled with utmost care. Marking of any kind or scribbling on pages or folding of any pages is prohibited. Mishandling or damage to the books shall invite penalty
- Students shall examine each book before borrowing and report any damaged or missing pages to the Librarian immediately
- Students shall replace or pay for the cost of any book lost by them. If one book of a set is lost or damaged, then the whole set shall be replaced
- Reference books, journals, back volumes, project reports etc, shall not be issued to the members
- With Librarian’s permission, laptops may be used inside the Libraries
- Silence shall be maintained inside the library at all times
