The vision of the school is to provide quality teaching and to create ethically sound civic leaders. Students are imparted knowledge on sociological understandings of social issues and are trained to be world-class human resources for the betterment of society and the motherland. Students are taken on regular visits to villages, NGOs, old age homes, etc. to ensure their involvement in social activities outside the campus and to develop their skills to serve the society in collaboration with the Government.

On the School of Social Studies
Sociology examines our social world and seeks to understand how social identities, relationships and practices are made. It asks how our opportunities, actions and experiences are shaped by class, gender and race, and how these might be changing in the 21st century. Students at VETIAS are taught by experts in the fields of class structure, social inequality, work and employment, welfare states, migration, gender, race and ethnicity. Our students develop their knowledge and skills in research methods, including quantitative and qualitative research, and theoretical approaches. Upon completion of the course, our students tend to understand different perspectives in Sociology and the relationship between individuals, groups and institutions.
