The much-anticipated YUGHA ‘25, an illustrious Inter Collegiate cultural fest, was held at the esteemed VET Institute of Arts and Science (Co-Education) College, Erode, on 1st March 2025. The primary objective of this prestigious event was to foster the exchange of ideas and innovative performances among different colleges. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. E. Dhivyadharshini, I M.Sc. CS, who set the tone for the day. The Presidential Address was delivered by Thiru C. Jayakumar, President, Vellalar Educational Trust, while the inaugural address was presented by Thiru S.D. Chandrasekar, Secretary and Correspondent of Vellalar Educational Institutions. The gathering was graced by the presence of Thiru C. Balasubramanian, Trustee, Dr. V.P. Nallaswamy, Principal, and Dr. S. Logesh Kumar, Administrative Officer, adding further significance to the occasion. The morning session featured a dynamic mix of both Off-stage and On-stage events, offering an expansive platform for students to showcase their artistic flair and intellectual prowess. Among the off-stage events were Fine Arts (Trash to Trends), Creative Arts (Divine Dye, Face Fables), Culinary Arts (Flameless Feast) and Digital Arts (Shutters, Minute Flick). The Fashion Arts segment including events like Face of Yuga and Glow Up saw great enthusiasm from the participants. The On-Stage Performances included exhilarating showcases of Performing Arts, featuring Group Dance, Solo Dance, Duo Dance, Group Singing, Solo Singing, Talent Hunt, and a dazzling Fashion Show. All events were expertly judged by professionals in their respective fields, ensuring a fair and competitive environment.

The afternoon session saw the electrifying presence of the Guest appearance, Ms. Malavika Mohanan, whose inspiring speech captivated the audience. She further mesmerized everyone with her dynamic ramp walk and graceful dance at the Valedictory Function, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees. The event reached its peak during the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the winners in each category were honored with trophies and certificates. KPR College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore was declared the Overall Championship Winner. Each participant was presented with a certificate, recognizing their efforts and contributions to the success of the fest.

Adding to the vibrancy of the event, several food stalls were set up, elevating the gastronomic experience while providing an opportunity for students to socialize and interact with each other and visitors. These stalls were an excellent initiative, promoting cultural exchange and fostering a sense of community within the college. The entire festival was meticulously organized under the guidance of Dr. Maheshwari R, Assistant Professor of Commerce, and Dr. Elango S, Assistant Professor of PA & A&F. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. M. Resma, II M. Com, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the festival.

The response from 63 esteemed colleges, 800 and above enthusiastic participants was exceedingly positive, with a remarkable turnout of both institutions and students, further elevating the grandeur of the event. The feedback from attendees was equally encouraging, making YUGHA ‘25 a resounding success and a memorable cultural celebration.
